Update after a while
Have not been here for a while, but have been busy printing. I got a commission from my daughter to print and mount my four print fantasy landscape set for her friend who has just moved house. Also I completed a print for her partner’s christmas present, so the word is getting out, albeit with family.
Christmas tags were used up, and Christmas cards despatched, some cheery comments recieved.
I tried some experimentation this week.
Glued rubber bands to a plate and printed a test piece just in black. Also overprinted at a different angle. I liked the effect so will progress with this and introduce some colour.
Same principal but used twine in swirling shapes. Not so satisfactory as the ink did not settle on the twine very well. I shall look at this further, I probably need more varnish on the plate or a thinner application of Ink.
I also spent a few hours mounting some prints to create stock for my Etsy shop and for my eventual attendance at a makers fair.
Looking forward to cracking on with some new designs during the christmas break…….
